Day 10 – 30 Days of Christmas 2017

Yesterday I brought you three authors who were new to me! I hope you really liked what they had to offer and have checked them out! Now, the winner of those books is Alexis Woods! WOOO HOOO!

Today, I’ve got a great holiday book for you from my fellow Loose Id author Harper Jewel and an intriguing book from Shane K. Morton. Let’s take a look!

Harper Jewel lives in northeast New Jersey with her husband and college-age daughter. She has two cats, enjoys reading, and taking trips to Walt Disney World. With her outgoing personality and vivid imagination, she can create characters and plots that are believable as well as memorable.

Although she began writing male/female romance/erotica, she has finally found her niche in Gay Romance. She thoroughly enjoys her male characters as they speak to her quite loudly while proving love is love. She is proud to have the honor of being the first M/M author accepted at the now-closed Lush Publishing.

In addition to her writing, she uses her college education and background in English and Language Arts to work as an independent editor. She’s also expanded her skills to include formatting for Smashwords Premium Catalog, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, & Amazon.

In September 2015, she created Slippery Fingers Press & Publishing Services. She uses the company name for self-publishing as well as her editing and formatting jobs.

Ripping Off the Mask her first full-length novel, published by Loose Id is now available at most e-book retailers.

Santa’s Naughty Elf

Playing Santa in the local department store should be an easy way to make a few extra bucks, shouldn’t it? That’s what Brock Daniels thought when he took the job at a local department store. Once he finds out a handsome ginger—his one weakness—will be playing Santa’s elf, easy becomes complicated, even if it’s an enjoyable snag.

When Paul Martens discovers who’ll be playing Santa to his elf, déjà vu of an unforgettable night with a certain Dom that took place almost two years ago comes crashing down on him.

The attraction between Brock and Paul grows to fevered levels while a runaway teen pulls at both men’s heartstrings. Will they find a way to put aside their ardent feelings and channel some holiday magic in order to grant everyone’s Christmas wish?

Shane K Morton lives in California with his husband Jody and their dog, Slayer. His novels include: The Trouble With Off-Campus Housing, Private Waterloos and The Year of the Cock. Short stories: And We Call it Bella Notte and Ginger in the City (All available on Amazon). When not writing, Shane can usually be found singing cabaret in a dark dive bar or at a film festival.

The Year of the Cock

Told by the people who know him best, The Year Of The Cock, is a year in the growth of their best friend, Jon. He is that magical being that no one chooses to be, the third wheel. However, he appears to have it all; A social butterfly that always has a place to go, things to do, and people to constantly surround him. The one thing he’s missing is someone to truly love. How can he love someone else when he doesn’t like the person staring back at him in the mirror?

Can he learn to love, to open himself up to the messy truth of relationships? Will he finally become the person he has tried to repress his entire adult life or will the year-end with him stuck in the status quo of his gay bachelorhood?

Day 9 – 30 Days of Christmas 2017

The last couple of days were BIG days with popular authors and a lot of activity! Today I’ve got three new to me authors and I hope that you will give them a big welcome! Before we look at today’s books, I’ve got a winner for Lucy Lennox, AE Wasp and me, Lex Valentine! Congrats to Yolanda!

Now, on to today’s giveaway. I’m gonna have a busy night tonight at my company’s holiday party. I even have a little red dress! It’s literally a little red dress since it’s THREE whole sizes smaller than anything I’ve worn in the past few years. So I’m really excited to bring you these new to me authors and you can just imagine me doing the Snoopy dance in my little red dress as you read about them!

After years on hiatus, Raven de Hart returned to writing her tantalizing tales and salacious stories. She is the author of Wild Ride as well as a variety of erotic short stories. Her work has been featured in anthologies through Storm Moon Press, Bold Strokes Books, Cleis Press, and Ravenous Romance. She is the author of several books, including Street Magic and Silverfall. She lives in a small, restored cottage on the coast of Washington. When she’s not writing or researching, she can be found tending her herb garden, playing with her Basset hounds, and trying to figure out this new-fangled internet fad. Heart of a Pirate

A land of ancient magic, a tale of fated hearts.

Ladir has served the Temple of Glidak his entire life, spreading their message to the farthest edges of Madijak. But a new arrival at the temple throws his life into disarray. Now, if he pursues his revenge, he may well the person who has come to mean everything to him.

After thirty years of working with the unemployed, coping with threats, tears and broken lives (and these were only from fellow staff), LV Lloyd decided it was time to make her escape.  And what better place to go than the world of m/m romance?  She started writing Dangerous Tension, her first ebook, years ago, but put it aside due to work and family commitments.

In 2012, she dusted off the foolscap pages stored under her bed, finished the story and turned it into a book.  Since then, she has written five more ebooks in the Aurigan Space Saga series, and numerous short stories.

Gothic Romance is her first venture into a new genre, Historical Romance.

LV Lloyd lives in Adelaide, Australia, with her family and three cats.  In her spare time she enjoys fishing and visiting the many local wineries.”

Gothic Romance

When Jonathan Winters accepts a post as tutor to the only son of Lord D’Anvers, he looks forward to sharing his love of learning with his young pupil.  Not even arriving at Castle Blackstone in the middle of a thunderstorm can dampen his enthusiasm, nor the fact that the wing above his head is forbidden.

Absorbed with Evelyn’s education, Jonathan is completely unprepared to find himself the object of Lord D’Anvers’ attentions.

Until D’Anvers kisses him…

Riza Curtis began writing stories at a young age to the a̶n̶n̶o̶y̶a̶n̶c̶e̶  delight of anyone she could b̶u̶l̶l̶y̶ persuade to read them. Now somewhat older, if not wiser, things haven’t really changed.

Riza lives in England where they enjoy adding extra letters to words, tea, and discussing the weather (it’s always raining). When she’s not writing, studying or doing her day job, Riza is obsessed with music and enjoys annoying her neighbours by playing five different instruments*!

The Cupids Do Christmas

Piotr “Snake” Lewin has had it with his job as one of Aphrodite’s cupids. He’s sick of all the true love bollocks, and if he has to watch one more couple fall in love, heads are going to roll. Probably literally.

The final straw is the announcement that the cupids will be helping out Father Christmas in the run up to the most materialistic day of the year. One overcommercialised holiday a year is more than enough, thanks.

That’s it. Piotr quits. Now, he just has to survive the one month notice period at ‘The North Pole’, and the cute elf who’s dead set on making friends.

Day 8 – 30 Days of Christmas 2017

We are about at the halfway point for the MM books and the last couple of days we’ve just had a lot of people interested in winning a book! THAT is what I like to see, readers finding authors they didn’t know about and books that interest them and actually having a real opportunity to win some! That being said, our Day 7 winner is Michelle! YAY!!

Today, I get to showcase another of the authors I read while I was recovering from open surgery (that bigger than a man’s fist sized gallstone I had.) So I have Lucy Lennox, AE Wasp and a little something from me!

When I was mostly bed-ridden I read a lot and one of the books I read was Safe and Sound by Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy. Great book! I loved it lots! So when Lucy said she’d love to be part of this year’s giveaway I jumped at a chance to have her! Lucy is giving away the choice of her backlist but here is some info on Safe and Sound, the book I so enjoyed.

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day. Lucy hopes you enjoy sexy heroes as much as she does. Happy reading!

Safe and Sound

I’ve been drowning for a long time. I never thought I’d find someone who knows what that’s like…

Self-proclaimed playboy, Aiden Vale, has it all – good looks, successful career, plenty of cash in the bank and an endless supply of men who know the score… that one night is just that. So the last thing he wants, or needs, is to forge a connection that might mean revealing more of himself than he’s ready to. But when fate intervenes, putting Aiden in the path of someone who threatens to knock down his carefully constructed walls, he’s quick to realize the young man he’s become infatuated with is hiding a painful secret.

I finally have a shot at freedom. I’ll never let anyone take that from me ever again…

Ash Valentine is just looking for a way out, and the last thing he wants or needs is another man controlling every aspect of his life. Desperate for the cash that will help him flee his abusive boyfriend, Ash accepts what is supposed to be a temporary job at a local coffee shop. But nothing prepares him for the gorgeous and enigmatic Aiden Vale, and the small acts of kindness the charming coffee shop regular bestows on him or the new friends he begins to make along the way.

Terrified of once again becoming too reliant on someone else to take care of him, Ash refuses Aiden’s repeated offers of help in any form. But when it becomes clear that there’s something more behind Aiden’s need to save him, Ash begins to wonder if he’s found someone who needs saving just as badly.

I know he wants to save me, but what if he’s the one who needs saving…

As their tentative friendship turns into something more, long buried secrets begin to surface. When Aiden’s need to protect Ash clashes with the younger man’s desire for independence, memories of the one he couldn’t save begin to tear at the fragile cords of Aiden’s soul, and he’s forced to face a truth he’s been hiding from for a long time.

Threatened with losing what they’ve only just found, will Aiden and Ash find a way to accept their pasts or will they let the pain drag them below the surface for good?

When AE Wasp heard I was giving away books, she wanted in! Authors that like to give back to the readers while exposing them to other authors and books are the lifeblood of the publishing community. So I was more than happy to have Amy join in and I know you are going to want to win her book!

After time spent raising children, earning several college degrees, and traveling the world with the U.S. State Department, she is returning to her first love – writing.

A dreamer and an idealist, Amy writes about people finding connection in a world that can seem lonely and magic in a world that can seem all too mundane. She invites readers into her characters’ lives and worlds when they are their most vulnerable, their most human, living with the same hopes and fears we all have. An avid traveler who has lived in big cities and small towns in four different continents, Amy has found that time and distance are no barriers to love. She invites her readers to reach out and share how her characters have touched their lives or how the found families they have gathered around them have shaped their worlds.

Born on Long Island, NY, Amy has lived in Los Angeles, London, and Bangkok. She currently lives in a town suspiciously like Red Deer, Colorado.  Facebook Page  Facebook Group

City Boy

Follow the money or follow your heart? Either way, you lose.

When a blown tire leads directly to mind-blowing sex with a white knight named Dakota, pro-hockey player Bryce Lowery discovers he is most definitely gay.

Being with Dakota opens up a whole new world. Bryce can’t imagine life without him. But he refuses to be Bryce’s dirty little secret. If he wants to keep Dakota, he’s either going to have to come out publicly or retire and walk away from millions of dollars.

Bryce Lowery feels like the answer to all of Dakota’s prayers. But is Dakota willing to leave the only life he’s ever known only to be thrust into the spotlight as the boyfriend of the first out gay hockey player? Would their relationship even survive it?

He’ll lose Bryce if he doesn’t because Bryce will leave eventually. No one would turn down millions of dollars for a nobody with nothing.

City Boy is a first time gay, fish out of water, May/December love story with a happy ending. It features snarky siblings, a dirty-talking farmer, lots of food, and big choices. (No poultry was harmed in the making of this book.)

You know, the down side to this giveaway that I do every year is that it swells my to buy list. And those of you who know me know I have zero dollars to spend on books. The last few days my to buy list has grown and grown and grown and today it’s not any better! Just because I’m giving away books doesn’t mean I get copies for free! So I just grit my teeth and enjoy the blurbs and watch my list swell while I add to the holiday joy of the readers! That’s the important part for me really. Despite the torture of all these lovely books I personally can’t have, I truly enjoy giving back to the readers in the MM genre. Which is why I’m giving away one of my books today, a lovely gem put out by Loose Id called Sunstroked!

When wildling Corey Green discovers his mate is Seth Dylan, a tough-as-nails, dour werewolf from the McCallan clan, he thinks his life is set. However, Seth’s not out and doesn’t know if he wants to be. A pivotal sexual encounter between the men has Seth running scared and leaves Corey brokenhearted.

The men meet again nearly two years later, and this time Seth’s out but Corey’s dark depression is about to send him behind the Veil of the Jewel Box to the fae world. Seth’s determined to make up for running out on Corey, but the wildling’s sunny disposition has gone so dark it may be too late for them to build a life together. With love on his side, Seth sets out return the sunshine to Corey’s soul.

And that is today’s fantastic line up of books that you can win by leaving a comment on this blog post by midnight Pacific time. And don’t forget to come back every day in December because I have SO MANY books to give away from some of your favorite MM authors like Harper Jewel, Nikki Prince, Lisa Worrall, AM Arthur, Jackson Marsh, Jackie Keswick, Lucy Felthouse, Leta Blake and Cardeno C!

Happy Holidays!

Beth Bolden lives in Portland, Oregon with her supportive husband and their beloved cat. She wholly believes in Keeping Portland Weird, but wishes she didn’t have to make the yearly pilgrimage up to Seattle to watch her Boston Red Sox play baseball. She’s a fan of fandoms, and spends too much of her free time on tumblr.

Beth has been writing practically since she learned the alphabet. Unfortunately, her first foray into novel writing, titled Big Bear with Sparkly Earrings, wasn’t a bestseller, but hope springs eternal. She’s published seven novels and two novellas, with her next novel, a m/m chef romance set in the Napa Valley, publishing in early 2018.

Wrapped With Love

NFL player Jordan Christensen walks into Reed Ryan’s restaurant without a reservation. It isn’t the most serendipitous of meet-cute’s and they certainly aren’t the likeliest of romances, but over venison steaks and crème brûlée, they fall in love anyway.

Flash forward two years . . .

Jordan isn’t a football player anymore.

Reed sold his restaurant.

But even more drastically, they’ve lost each other.

When Reed moves to Los Angeles take a new job, he doesn’t realize Jordan now works at the same company. But Jordan definitely realizes how precious the second chance fate has bestowed on them is. He’s determined to make up for everything that fell apart the first time around, and it turns out he’s not the only one scheming to right old wrongs.

Starting a new career is always difficult but sharing office space—and big projects—with an old lover is particularly rough. Between impromptu Secret Santa exchanges, Christmas light viewings, and more tacos than even Reed can eat, the two former lovers have an eventful holiday season to navigate.

S.L. (Stephanie) Danielson began writing at the tender age of five. She knew it was her calling from the moment she put pen to paper. In her teens she began writing alternative works and the genre stuck. She created ever more elaborate tales and finally in her early 20’s years began to create works with her new love; male/male romance. She has since written more than 30 works (both solo and collaborations).

Stephanie is classically trained in business, accounting, and HR/training, possessing both an undergrad and graduate degree. She also owned and operated Romance First Publishing where the ultimate goal was to help other unknown, as well as known authors get their start in the publishing world.

Beyond writing, her other hobbies include: painting, gaming, and spending time with her husband and two cherished cats.

Day 6 – 30 Days of Christmas 2017

Today is a really special day for me because the two authors who are giving away books have brand new releases today! But first, hubs drew the winner for Day 5 and it’s Patricia Nelson! WOOT!

I’m really happy to showcase these two authors today and to bring you their books. First is my good friend Tara Lain, who always generously shows up for my holiday giveaway and the second author is RJ Scott who is here for the first time! Both authors have new releases today so let’s take a look at what they have to offer!

Tara Lain,  as everyone knows, writes the Beautiful Boys of Romance. She has this great series Balls to the Walls and today Dreamspinner is re-releasing SNOW BALLS! This is a great book and the whole series is pretty amazing. You can always count on Tara for romance, romance and more romance without major angst (my trademark apparently.) My particular favorite in this series just happens to be FIRE BALLS and I’m mentioning it because Tara is offering up the choice of the first 5 Balls books (Fire Balls, Volley Balls, Beach Balls, FAST Balls, and High Balls) to today’s winner!

Here’s a link to Tara’s blog where you can find out more about the Balls series.

A Pinnacle of Balls — Get Ready! #TaraLain #BallstotheWall

Meanwhile, I’m going to share my favorite Fire Balls’ blurb and the buy link for both it and the new release Snow Balls.

Fire Balls

Renowned artist Rodney Mansfield stands five foot six, has pink hair, six earrings, a black belt in karate—and a desperate yearning for firefighter Hunter Fallon. But Rod, the Runtback of Notre Dame, knows he’ll never land the beautiful “straight gay” guy, so Rod musters his altruism and helps his more masculine friend Jerry attract Hunter. As if a broken heart wasn’t enough, Rod saves Hunter from a firehouse homophobe—humiliating Hunter in front of his dad!

Hunter lives a dream life—his father’s dream. While he’d like to teach literature in college, read poetry in the sun, and find a strong guy to top him, he fights fires for his dad. Hunter hates flamboyant guys like Rodney. So why can’t he resist him? Maybe it’s time to admit this is one flame he has no desire to put out.

Next up is a great holiday book from RJ Scott! I’m so excited about this one! I LOVE holiday books!

RJ Scott is the bestselling romance author of over 100 romance books. She writes emotional stories of complicated characters, cowboys, millionaire, princes, and the men and women who get mixed up in their lives. RJ is known for writing books that always end with a happy ever after. She lives just outside London and spends every waking minute she isn’t with family either reading or writing.

The last time she had a week’s break from writing she didn’t like it one little bit, and she has yet to meet a bottle of wine she couldn’t defeat.

Love Happens Anyway

Hiring a boyfriend for Christmas; what can go wrong?

Derek is facing yet another Christmas where his life feels out of control. He has a new career that doesn’t feel like his, and parents who would just love to see him settled down. All he needs is a temporary buffer for the parties he has to attend, and for his parents to leave him alone. Enter, Luke.

Luke is twenty-thousand dollars short for the renovations on Halligans; his family’s bar in New York’s Financial District. A favor for a buddy has him agreeing to play the part of boyfriend to a guy with more money than sense.

But when the spirit of Christmas works its magic on the two men, and they begin to fall for each other, Derek runs scared, and Luke needs space.

It doesn’t matter what obstacles you throw in the way of love, or how much you run in the other direction, because, when you’re least expecting it, whether you want it or not, love happens anyway.

And just because I can, I’m tossing in my bestselling dragon shifters!

Fire Season

Black dragon Holden Antaeus isn’t looking for a mate. His life is filled with family, work, and dating. Women adore him and he’s never short of offers for sex, but a relationship isn’t something he’s interested in. When Holden’s brother Sean hires a new executive for Antaeus International, Holden’s whole world, and everything he’s ever believed about himself, is blown to bits. Garret Renquist is a green dragon, intelligent, witty, bi-sexual, and hot for Holden. Despite the fact that Holden is positive he’s heterosexual, the moment he meets Garret, something happens inside him. What follows is a journey through stereotypes and ingrained beliefs as Holden struggles with the fact that his destined mate is a man.

And there you have it! One winner will get RJ’s book, my book, and the choice of Balls books by Tara! What a great line up of books! Make sure you comment on this post by midnight Pacific time (watch the clock people and post on the right one!) for a chance to win all three. And come back every day this month for more great books you can win from authors like Lucy Lennox, Aimee Nicole Walker, Elizabeth Varlet, Annabelle Jacobs, AE Wasp, Beth Bolden, Layla Reyne, EM Denning and more!

Happy Holidays!
