I’ve had a passel of bad luck stuff happen so I’m going to put off this week’s listing of winners until the 15th. The last set of winners from the 15th through the 25th may be late posting if my family ends up on the street come December 20th. I don’t see how we’re going to get out of this current mess right now, but know that even if my life goes down the toilet, I’ll find a way to get the winners posted so the authors can deliver the books. I appreciate you all so very much.
Now on to the good stuff! I have two authors and books for your pleasure today! Maggie Blackbird and L.B. La Vigne!
A mixed-blood Catholic seminarian struggles to discern his true calling: the priesthood or his ex-lover, a proud but damaged Ojibway man.
It’s been ten years since Emery Matawapit sinned, having succumbed to temptation for the one thing in his life that felt right, another man. In six months he’ll make a life-changing decision that will bar him from sexual relationships for the rest of his life.
Darryl Keejik has a decade-long chip on his shoulder, and he holds Emery’s father, the church deacon, responsible for what he’s suffered: the loss of his family and a chance at true love with Emery. No longer a powerless kid, Darryl has influence within the community—maybe more than the deacon, and he intends on using his new-found power to destroy Deacon Matawapit and the church.
Hoping to save the church, Emery races home. But stopping Darryl is harder than expected when their sizzling chemistry threatens to consume Emery. Now he is faced with the toughest decision of his life: please his devout parents and fulfill his call to the priesthood, or remain true to his heart and marry the man created for him.
An erotic spiritual journey…
An Ojibway from Northwestern Ontario, Maggie resides in the country with her husband and their fur babies, two beautiful Alaskan Malamutes. When she’s not writing, she can be found pulling weeds in the flower beds, mowing the huge lawn, walking the Mals deep in the bush, teeing up a ball at the golf course, fishing in the boat for walleye, or sitting on the deck at her sister’s house, making more wonderful memories with the people she loves most.
When his lost cat is returned by college student Ben Stacks, east coast businessman Harrison Reid can’t deny the obvious sparks between them. It only makes sense to meet again, and soon, to strike up a relationship.
But Reid has skeletons in his past, ones that haunt him as he tries to start fresh with Ben. Reid is determined not to let that old life get in the way of this new romance, especially with how strongly Ben is falling for him.
How long can he hide the truth though, especially when old acquaintances come to call and expose him to the man he’s come to love? Standing up to them is about far more than closing old doors. For Reid, it only exposes how much he’s terrified of a happy ever after. But he must act quickly, because Ben will not accept a man who can’t be truly free to live the life of his dreams.
Blue is a 63,000-word novel.
B. La Vigne is a librarian by day, and a filthy smut writer by night 😉 As a published erotica author and MM romance reader, La Vigne is also part of the LGBT community. La Vigne enjoys camping and baking on the weekends, and is a lover of monsters.
Don’t those sound like great reads? I know I’d read them! For a chance to win both books, leave a comment on this post. And feel free to post on the previous week’s entries as well. Keep coming back through Christmas as there are some amazing authors to come including Amber Kell, Jaime Samms, and Kris Jacen!
