Day 8 – 30 Days of Christmas 2017

We are about at the halfway point for the MM books and the last couple of days we’ve just had a lot of people interested in winning a book! THAT is what I like to see, readers finding authors they didn’t know about and books that interest them and actually having a real opportunity to win some! That being said, our Day 7 winner is Michelle! YAY!!

Today, I get to showcase another of the authors I read while I was recovering from open surgery (that bigger than a man’s fist sized gallstone I had.) So I have Lucy Lennox, AE Wasp and a little something from me!

When I was mostly bed-ridden I read a lot and one of the books I read was Safe and Sound by Lucy Lennox and Sloane Kennedy. Great book! I loved it lots! So when Lucy said she’d love to be part of this year’s giveaway I jumped at a chance to have her! Lucy is giving away the choice of her backlist but here is some info on Safe and Sound, the book I so enjoyed.

After enjoying creative writing as a child, Lucy didn’t write her first novel until she was over 40 years old. Her debut novel, Borrowing Blue, was published in the autumn of 2016. Lucy has an English Literature degree from Vanderbilt University, but that doesn’t hold a candle to the years and years of staying up all night reading tantalizing novels on her own. She has three children, plays tennis, and hates folding laundry. While her husband is no shmoopy romance hero, he is very good at math, cooks a mean lasagne, has gorgeous eyes, looks hot in his business clothes, and makes her laugh every single day. Lucy hopes you enjoy sexy heroes as much as she does. Happy reading!

Safe and Sound

I’ve been drowning for a long time. I never thought I’d find someone who knows what that’s like…

Self-proclaimed playboy, Aiden Vale, has it all – good looks, successful career, plenty of cash in the bank and an endless supply of men who know the score… that one night is just that. So the last thing he wants, or needs, is to forge a connection that might mean revealing more of himself than he’s ready to. But when fate intervenes, putting Aiden in the path of someone who threatens to knock down his carefully constructed walls, he’s quick to realize the young man he’s become infatuated with is hiding a painful secret.

I finally have a shot at freedom. I’ll never let anyone take that from me ever again…

Ash Valentine is just looking for a way out, and the last thing he wants or needs is another man controlling every aspect of his life. Desperate for the cash that will help him flee his abusive boyfriend, Ash accepts what is supposed to be a temporary job at a local coffee shop. But nothing prepares him for the gorgeous and enigmatic Aiden Vale, and the small acts of kindness the charming coffee shop regular bestows on him or the new friends he begins to make along the way.

Terrified of once again becoming too reliant on someone else to take care of him, Ash refuses Aiden’s repeated offers of help in any form. But when it becomes clear that there’s something more behind Aiden’s need to save him, Ash begins to wonder if he’s found someone who needs saving just as badly.

I know he wants to save me, but what if he’s the one who needs saving…

As their tentative friendship turns into something more, long buried secrets begin to surface. When Aiden’s need to protect Ash clashes with the younger man’s desire for independence, memories of the one he couldn’t save begin to tear at the fragile cords of Aiden’s soul, and he’s forced to face a truth he’s been hiding from for a long time.

Threatened with losing what they’ve only just found, will Aiden and Ash find a way to accept their pasts or will they let the pain drag them below the surface for good?

When AE Wasp heard I was giving away books, she wanted in! Authors that like to give back to the readers while exposing them to other authors and books are the lifeblood of the publishing community. So I was more than happy to have Amy join in and I know you are going to want to win her book!

After time spent raising children, earning several college degrees, and traveling the world with the U.S. State Department, she is returning to her first love – writing.

A dreamer and an idealist, Amy writes about people finding connection in a world that can seem lonely and magic in a world that can seem all too mundane. She invites readers into her characters’ lives and worlds when they are their most vulnerable, their most human, living with the same hopes and fears we all have. An avid traveler who has lived in big cities and small towns in four different continents, Amy has found that time and distance are no barriers to love. She invites her readers to reach out and share how her characters have touched their lives or how the found families they have gathered around them have shaped their worlds.

Born on Long Island, NY, Amy has lived in Los Angeles, London, and Bangkok. She currently lives in a town suspiciously like Red Deer, Colorado.  Facebook Page  Facebook Group

City Boy

Follow the money or follow your heart? Either way, you lose.

When a blown tire leads directly to mind-blowing sex with a white knight named Dakota, pro-hockey player Bryce Lowery discovers he is most definitely gay.

Being with Dakota opens up a whole new world. Bryce can’t imagine life without him. But he refuses to be Bryce’s dirty little secret. If he wants to keep Dakota, he’s either going to have to come out publicly or retire and walk away from millions of dollars.

Bryce Lowery feels like the answer to all of Dakota’s prayers. But is Dakota willing to leave the only life he’s ever known only to be thrust into the spotlight as the boyfriend of the first out gay hockey player? Would their relationship even survive it?

He’ll lose Bryce if he doesn’t because Bryce will leave eventually. No one would turn down millions of dollars for a nobody with nothing.

City Boy is a first time gay, fish out of water, May/December love story with a happy ending. It features snarky siblings, a dirty-talking farmer, lots of food, and big choices. (No poultry was harmed in the making of this book.)

You know, the down side to this giveaway that I do every year is that it swells my to buy list. And those of you who know me know I have zero dollars to spend on books. The last few days my to buy list has grown and grown and grown and today it’s not any better! Just because I’m giving away books doesn’t mean I get copies for free! So I just grit my teeth and enjoy the blurbs and watch my list swell while I add to the holiday joy of the readers! That’s the important part for me really. Despite the torture of all these lovely books I personally can’t have, I truly enjoy giving back to the readers in the MM genre. Which is why I’m giving away one of my books today, a lovely gem put out by Loose Id called Sunstroked!

When wildling Corey Green discovers his mate is Seth Dylan, a tough-as-nails, dour werewolf from the McCallan clan, he thinks his life is set. However, Seth’s not out and doesn’t know if he wants to be. A pivotal sexual encounter between the men has Seth running scared and leaves Corey brokenhearted.

The men meet again nearly two years later, and this time Seth’s out but Corey’s dark depression is about to send him behind the Veil of the Jewel Box to the fae world. Seth’s determined to make up for running out on Corey, but the wildling’s sunny disposition has gone so dark it may be too late for them to build a life together. With love on his side, Seth sets out return the sunshine to Corey’s soul.

And that is today’s fantastic line up of books that you can win by leaving a comment on this blog post by midnight Pacific time. And don’t forget to come back every day in December because I have SO MANY books to give away from some of your favorite MM authors like Harper Jewel, Nikki Prince, Lisa Worrall, AM Arthur, Jackson Marsh, Jackie Keswick, Lucy Felthouse, Leta Blake and Cardeno C!

Happy Holidays!
