Day 4: 30+ Days of Christmas 2013

The winner for yesterday is DebraG! WOOT! The authors will be in touch to arrange to get you your books.

Today’s books are an unusual bag. My book is Where There’s Smoke which is the third book in the Phoenix Prophecy trilogy. Dee Carney and Mina Carter wrote the first two books. You don’t have to worry about reading them though as each can stand alone. My book is MM and the other books are not, but all the books are definitely paranormal. Joining me are my pal Tilly Greene and new author GD Ogan.

Sex, Love and Immortality

Mythology is full of fascinating details of Ancient Greek society, unique scenarios, interesting characters and their lives which culminate in powerful moral lessons on life, love and war. Unfortunately, the stories don’t always end on a good note for those involved. It’s time to shake things up and give a few of the heroes and heroines a chance at a happy ending.

Myths with Hephaestus, Castor and Pollux, the Cyclopes, Marsyas and Zeus are extended and the men find themselves face to face with love.

Their days and nights are full of glorious sex, some with multiple partners and some with bondage, but there’s one question left unspoken. Will their quests for happiness be long lasting or will someone leave once a problem arises?

51TcVnon4NLThe Immortal Relations Series by G.D. Ogan

Author’s Website

In the first book of an Adult Paranormal-Romance, Gary Logan finds out that his late father had a tryst in Europe at the end of WWII and Gary travels to Prague, CZ to see if he can find the spot where the picture was taken. Surprisingly, he meets a younger lady who knows far more about his late father than seems possible. Thus begins a story of guardian vampires who protect women, children and other innocents from evil vampires/human criminals/& evil politicians seeking to have total power over the people. In order to remain with the two ladies he falls in love with, Gary petitions to be changed to one of the guardian vampires. There he combats a force of evil vampires added by his full vampire son, Adam along with elements of the armed forces of The Czech Republic, the British Army and Royal Marines as well as the Armed Forces of The Russian Federation trying to keep conventional, nuclear and biological weapons out of the hands of vampires, whom they believe to be only human “terrorists.”

Continuation of the Immortal Relations story, Immortal Relations Love and War amps up the action to a fever pitch while toning down the explicit content of the first book. Responding to the illness of a good friend, Gary, his son Adam, now a general serving in NATO, and Adam’s commanding officer Stephan (who has also elected to become a vampire to be with the love of his life) go to see Field Marshal Kolukov whose assistance was invaluable in destroying the evil vampire gang before they could steal the biological WMDs. Thinking they will surprise him with their offer of change to save him from his terminal illness they are surprised by his foreknowledge of why they have come. But they aren’t the only ones to be surprised as terrorists from Chechnya decapitate the government of Russia as a prelude to invasion of Siberia by troops from Communist China seeking to steal Russia’s oil production, gold and other mineral riches as well as land for its massive population explosion. Our good vampires must act quickly to keep an invasion from becoming a nuclear war. Compounding the problems are terrorists hired by OPEC to destroy Russia’s providing of cheaper oil to Western European countries and twin ecological disasters, the failing 25 year old cap over the still radioactive Chernobyl Reactor and the leaning reactor at Fukushima, Japan, who some scientists have warned its collapse could result in an Extinction Level Event (threatening all life on Earth).

Continuation of “Immortal Relations, Love and War,” having saved mankind from several potentially catastrophic events our good vampires discuss the pros and cons of coming out to the human world in order to form a strong symbiotic relationship. It is decided that the human’s record of not reacting well to fears of the unknown would bode ill for the guardian vampires; however, forces are at work to discover who it was that thwarted Communist China’s capture of the financial windfall that Siberia would have been. Washington was promised continuation of Chinese loans to allow the Marxist regime in Washington to continue buying the votes to keep them in power. With reprisals on their agenda, Washington, as has been common with the current regime, mistakenly believes they can simply murder the man they think is most responsible with the aim of poisoning or shooting him and his compatriots if possible. Acting before they know the facts is a common fault in the Marxist regime and things have spiraled out of their control by the time they realize they are dealing not with a few human patriots but a group of overwhelmingly powerful, if peace-loving, vampires. Yet another threat to Earth appears and the unwillingness to respond puts the leadership abilities of those in Washington under another cloud,  things don’t go well for Washington.

That’s it for today! For a chance to win these five books, leave a comment on this post by midnight Pacific time (3 am Eastern.)

    Darn, earlier comment didn’t post.
These books sounds great, please count me in!

  2. Jean R says:

Maybe the third time will be the charm, and this post will actually go through. For some reason the site really hates me today.

I think I am jinxed. But it would be fun to read a series very different than anything I have read before. 🙂

    • Winter/Lex says:

Not jinxed. I was just swamped today and couldn’t get to the site to approve any moderated comments.

  3. G. D. Ogan says:

Thanks again for allowing me to be on your blog! It is after midnight here in Texas so I’m heading for bed. While there might be another comment from someone on the “Left Coast” between now and your midnight I seriously doubt it. So just let me know who the lucky person is who gets one of my e-books and I’ll contact them (a couple of the commenters seemed interested in “the series” so perhaps they’d be a best choice).

  4. Jean Reads says:

    They sound intriguing. 🙂
