Day 5: 30 Days of Christmas 2012

Yesterday’s winner is Jess1. Woot! Congrats and Happy Holidays!

Today we have a plethora of books to stimulate you! Books in both MM and MF genres from three different authors who offer you a little of everything…

Angelia SparrowPower in the Blood, Love That Never Dies, Pushing the Boundaries of Reality (MF), Swimming Through the Net (MM), Hard Reboot (MF)

Oren Stolt understands the natural order better than most people. Vampires prey on humans and Undying keep the vampires’ numbers in check.

Until now.

Now, across the United States, vampire numbers are exploding, thanks to a new church. The Tabernacle of the Firstfruits preaches a Risen Lord and invites believers to follow Him in death and resurrection…quite literally.

In Memphis, the church is about to host its first conference, with an eye to converting the whole world to the vampiric gospel. And all that stands between humanity and eternal night is Oren, his kids, and a thin line of insane immortals.

Thousands of books have been written about love and sex between humans and werewolves, vampires, aliens, shapeshifters, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures. But, what about the real, honest, and alluringly bizarre world of the undead.  Not just zombies – though a few are stumbling through this anthology – not just the once-alive – but also the differently-living?  In these pages you’ll discover things shambling out of tombs, existing on whole new plains of existence, and more.  In the hands, and minds, of these deeply talented and wonderful writers nothing will be quite what it appears.

Buckle yourself in and get ready for a ride will of unexpected twists and turns, where your libido and desires may go in one direction while your brain – screaming all the time “No no no no no no!” – goes the opposite.

“Between Despair and Ecstacy” tells of Marcus, a Servant of the Undying and his new assignment, Samil.

“Pushing the Boundaries of Reality” takes us into the frontiers of cyberspace, as the Technomancer–Zara Broine–learns the limitations of her programs and Gemini–David benEzra–breaks all the boundaries of cyberspace, love and marriage.

Net runner Shelby failed a run and was captured by The Wheelman. Now, he serves the Wheelman as an Immortal, a quadruple amputee kept alive by machines while his mind runs the Net, searching for bits of data, corporate secrets and access codes.

In the net, however, he is Swift-Current, a merman, and he has fallen for another Immortal, Mark, a Lovecraftian monster hunter. But the Wheelman is a jealous employer and wants no distractions for his servants…

Two years ago, Sean O’Neill’s wife, Caitlin—the ace net-runner called Irishgirl—was stolen from their bed. Now, he knows where she is, but getting her back is only the first step in a long journey.

Caitlin has been trained as a sex slave, her former skills as a net-runner and cyber-thief totally stripped from her, along with her identity and most independent thought. Powerful and wealthy social elites, playing their own dangerous high-stakes games, have hired Sean to retrieve her and again make her what she once was.

But two years is a long time to be out of the net and out of normal society. A lot of new programming has been laid down. Now, giving Irishgirl a hard reboot may take everything Sean has in him, and more…

Mardi BallouTingle Bells (MM) and Reunions  Dangereuses (MFM)

Justin Clancy is counting on his new invention to make the holiday season bright for his financially struggling family. With a chime guaranteed to sexually arouse any adult, Tingle Bells are the perfect stocking stuffer-until a cruel hex turns those sexy sounds into ear-splitting croaks. Far more adept at practical sciences than witchcraft, Justin knows he needs expert help fast or the Clancys’ Christmas will go down the tubes.

Trust-fund-wealthy Ramon Ramirez is a private eye certified for metaphysical investigations. He’s also a long-time loner who wishes for connection. Sparks fly between him and Justin the moment they meet, and Ramon falls for Justin-and his whole family. But neither man is quite ready to give up his heart to the other. Ramon has to work on cracking his solitary armor, and the self-conscious Justin isn’t so sure his new man isn’t just slumming-or pitying him.

In the midst of grappling with an eccentric family feud, mangled bells and their own personal baggage, Justin and Ramon vow to make things right and stir up a little magic of their own.

According to anonymous newspaper writer Gossip Guru, vampires are crappy lovers and the legends of their sexual prowess are worthless hype. After publishing her opinions, GG doesn’t have many fans in the San Francisco vampire community. When vamps Jake Ardlow and Dean Morley uncover GG’s true identity, they decide to set her straight.

Successful businesswoman Pam Holland writes the GG column for fun, never dreaming that anyone is paying attention. Then Jake and Dean, classmates she crushed on at the high school they all hated, convince her to be their date for the twentieth reunion. Pam, who doesn’t know how much the guys have changed since high school, feels like she’s died and gone to heaven.

Reunion night is even better than Pam’s fantasies, at first. Then she’s in for some surprises. So are Jake and Dean.

Karenna ColcroftLost Soul (MM) and Beta Test (MF)

Sorcerer Joel Turcotte fuels his magic by stealing pieces of people’s souls during sex. Since he caused the death of his lover a decade ago, he’s careful to only take small pieces, but he regrets each one. When he meets Lanny Turcotte, he finds the strongest soul he’s ever encountered, and one that’s almost impossible to resist. Although Joel is reluctant to become involved with anyone, he and Lanny begin a relationship.

But Joel isn’t the only sorcerer who wants Lanny. Can Joel protect his lover from other sorcerers—and from himself?

Tareth McConnell has learned not to count on anyone other than herself, and really isn’t in the market for a relationship. But the first time she sees the man with his long hair in a braid on the subway, she’s strangely drawn to him. Despite that, a month passes before they say more than hello to each other.

The first time Justin Ruel speaks with Tareth, he knows there’s something special about her. Something different. If he didn’t know better, he would swear she was his mate. But Justin is the Beta of the City Pack, the largest werewolf pack in New England, and there’s no possible way he could have a human mate. At first, Justin tries to hide the truth from Tareth. When a series of attacks occur on pack members, Tareth’s life might be endangered, and Justin has no choice but to tell her–even if that means losing her forever.
