Too Much Christmas?

I might have had too much Christmas. Okay, that’s not exactly true since we didn’t have a tree or decorations or presents or even dinner really. But I’ve had too much of something since today I was exhausted and totally forgot it was Monday. I can’t miss a Marcus Monday! What was I thinking?

Honestly, I wasn’t thinking. My head’s been buried in writing, something it’s not really been buried in for about a year. But I have a lot of plans because lately, I’ve been uh…planning. LOL Thinking about my writing career and my publishers and the stuff I have out that isn’t selling, the stuff I have out that is selling, and yes, I’ve been thinking about retirement as well. Perhaps not retirement from writing altogether, but maybe retirement of this pen name once I’ve fulfilled all of its obligations. I’ve been thinking about a lot of things related to my writing career. So you all may start to see some changes in how I do things and what I release.

No changes to Tales of the Darkworld. The next book is still going to be #7 Fire Storm which is a continuation of Holden and Garrett’s story. I’m planning that for spring 2012. No changes to the Encounters series. Still plan on putting out Magic Lessons, Rituals, and Blood Lust. No changes to my plans for the other two books in my Spellbound Treasures trilogy. The second story is going to be M/M and the last of the trilogy will be Branson’s story which I’m wanting to write with my pal Jennifer Leeland for reasons you’ll discover when we actually do the thing! LOL Your hint is to take a look at what Jen writes. HEH. Branson is a lot more than anyone knows…

My plans for the Magia series are really backburnered at this point. I want to write it, but I want more experience with the Edwardian era first which is one of the reasons I’m doing Lords of Aether. Steampunk set in the Edwardian era in an parallel world still gives me some experience writing that era. Eventually, I’ll write about the Magia. Some day anyway.

Meanwhile, I will have a freebie story for everyone on New Year’s Eve. One version for those who read het and one version (slightly changed) for those who read gay rom. It’s called Finding Your Heart and it’s just a short story about a love that never died.

Anyway, since my post is late, I’ll not write too much. Just gonna give you all another retro Marcus, a photo I’ve posted previously but some years back, then sign off.

I could look at that all day. Seriously.  I think Adam Bouska needs to photograph him for NoH8. Anyway, sorry for the lateness. I didn’t even promo today. How I’m gonna sell books without promo beats me. Anyway, that’s it for me! Happy Monday after Christmas!

I am very curious about this writing career change you speak of. Please elaborate more, if you can. Email me if you need to. I know we’ve not talked too much lately, but I admire a fellow IT person that’s making strides in the writing world.
