30 Days of Christmas:Day 12

Lisa N. won a copy of Insolence in yesterday’s drawing! Yay! Today, I’m giving away a matched set. Two short stories. Two covers by M.E. Ellis. Twin werewolf brothers. Two distinctive heroines. Alpha meets Alpha. Beta meets Beta. Two erotic tales of love and lust.

Mating has been a very popular short story for me. It won a cover contest and got a contract.  Then the publisher contracted the companion tale Runaways. Not sure why it’s not as popular but there ya go. No accounting for the vagaries of the buying public.

To enter the drawing for a chance to win these two short stories all you have to do is comment on this post by midnight Eastern/9 pm Pacific time. Good luck!

Mating

Freya’s Bower

M/F, werewolves, erotic paranormal romance

Short Story

Blurb:
As the pack Alpha, Roul Verlaine always looked out for his twin brother Ranulf. Now, Ran’s mated and run off to New York City. Deciding to check up on his twin, Roul hires the Watcher Agency to follow Ran and his new mate. But when Roul arrives at Watcher, the owner is not what he expected.
Morgan Kale is a rare white werewolf, a lone wolf. She’s not looking for a mate so when Roul walks into her office and her senses start pinging, she’s not exactly happy about it. With Roul only in New York for three days, Morgan has to decide whether to tell him they are mates… or let him walk out of her life forever.

The couple let their senses take over, and, before the train ride is through, they’ve become mates. 4. Bennita says:

Seriously, how can you go wrong with sexy werewolves. Love story concepts. A definite read for me!

  5. Anne – My M/M books by far outsell my M/F.

Carlie – I write in different genres in part because that's the way my mind is. Not stuck in just this world! LOL I like creating my own worlds so any genre that allows me to do that is my favorite! I'm really very partial to dragons and vampires though. And no, I don't mind questions at all! I wish people would ask more often so that I know they are interested.

Cathy – It was great chatting with you! Happy Holidays to you and yours!

  6. Jacki C. says:

I love stories about twin-brothers. YUM!

  7. Cathy Wellman says:

I think they are both wonderful and would love to win them!!

  9. UteH says:

I must admit that I can't understand why one sells better than the other. They both sound real good.

    Ute

  10. Joder says:

Woo-Hoo! I'm so in the mood for some sexy wolf stories so I'm crossing my fingers I win. The heat from these will hopefully make things seem not so freezing around here.

  11. Rae M. says:

I do love any type of shifter, so I would definitely read either of these!

And I see why Mating won a cover contest.

  12. Carlie A. says:

Oooh! Raising hand, jumping up and down.

    Me likey.

Wondering if you've tired of my incessant questions? But seriously you're a new author to me and I enjoy your responses. Hope you don't mind.

That being said, what's been your fave genre to write? It seems you do a lot of different ones.

  15. Karin T says:

They both sound like really great books. The excertps have definitely got me hooked.

  16. Larena Wirum says:

Both books sound very good. Great covers for both.

  17. Anne says:

I dunno, I loved the excerpt for Runaway. With the name Dante, (before I read the excerpt) I thought you had a typo and it should have been M/M and that may have accounted for lesser sales (though I've read that M/M is very popular). I've read some hoping it would give me some insights to the male mind, but since most were written by women, maybe not so much.

  18. kelly says:

    Lex–

Looks like a lot of sexy reading.

Adding these to my "to read" list.

    Kelly

  19. Ridgetb says:

I'm definitely in on this one. Ought, pick me….pick me!

Ooh, these sound right up my alley! And I love connected stories–adding these to the ol' TBB, Lex! Thanks!

  21. Lisa Avila says:

It certainly sounds like something I would like! Happy Hollidays!

  22. Julianne says:

Don't know what to say about its unpopularity, Lex. It sounds interesting to me!
